Time of Gratitude
It’s alright to be grateful when we see other people with greater health problems than our own. At the entrance of a specialist office, we will see many broken people, some on crutches, some using canes, some bent over and unable to stand up straight. We can be overwhelmed by the view.
There is a sense of relief when our name is called almost immediately. We leave the waiting room, so much pain in one room. We are relieved once more and grateful that our diagnosis did not require surgery. However, it did require physical therapy exercises and over the counter pain relievers.
Fortunately, our pain was worse prior to our specialist’s consultation. We had already seen improvement in our condition. We learned that we can make small lifestyle changes so as not to have to return to the specialist’s office. We can also pray for those people with more serious health problems who absolutely must return for future sessions.
